“First chance they get they’ll be tearing at each other like rabid dogs. Marching together today. Spite and ateing each other tomorrow.”

What happens when a radical, charismatic leader from the left is within reach of government? What compromises does she need to negotiate and how will she be haunted by those she betrays?

This new play written and directed by Shane Mac an Bhaird looks at the journey from activism to politics. Set in both 2026 and 2016, Traitor follows the stories of five people caught up in a changing world: their betrayals, loves and body modifications.
