After seven years at the heart of the Dublin Fringe Festival team, our FRINGE LAB Coordinator Aisling O’Brien is moving on this spring to launch her new business, Aisling O’Brien Arts Management.
During a Fringe tenure that saw her blaze a trail from intern to industry expert, Aisling has created and lead new artist support initiatives, produced exciting shows and events and mentored hundreds of artists through FRINGE LAB. Although her charisma and insight will be greatly missed here at Fringe HQ, we’re so proud of her achievements as one of Ireland’s leading independent producers and wish her huge success in her new chapter.
Here is Aisling to share more about what’s next:
After seven brilliant and formative years with Dublin Fringe Festival, it is time for me to pursue my independent arts management career on a full-time basis. It was an absolute honour to work side-by-side with the best colleagues and artists I could wish to meet. Although I am sad to leave, I am equally excited to launch Aisling O’ Brien Arts Management specialising in cultural producing, project management and artist support and development. This year I look forward to working with Inis Theatre in association with The Abbey and Bush Theatre, Liz Roche Company, Visual Artist Sarah Browne, Company Philip Connaughton, 24 Hour Plays 2020: Dublin, Bombinate Theatre, Meath County Council Arts Office and many more to come. With all my heart I say thank you to the board, staff and artists of my Fringe family. May you continue to shine bright like a diamond into your 25th year!
