The Fringe Awards exist to recognise, reward and celebrate the hard work and talent on display in the festival each year. They are a small but heartfelt tribute to some of the hundreds of festival makers and doers who bring their intelligence, vision, drive and who seem to be able to draw on a reservoir of bottomless energy and passion to create some of the most exciting and original work any of us see from one end of the year to the next. They light up the city, our minds and our souls.
Our panel of judges will deliberate into the night on Saturday 24 September. We’ll announce the nominees late that night. The awards will take place in The Liquor Rooms at 1pm on Sunday 25 September.
The Awards hope to honour excellence and old-fashioned hard work and acknowledge some of the stand-outs in this year’s festival of 73 production taking place across 16 days in venues throughout the city.
