Fringe welcomes Shannon Lacek as General Manager

Dublin Fringe Festival is thrilled to welcome Shannon Lacek as its new General Manager. She joins the Fringe team later this month. Shannon has nearly two decades of nonprofit arts management experience, most recently as Director of Marketing at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in New York City where she supervised marketing for all programs, including the pioneering Next Wave Festival.  Prior to BAM, Shannon was Director of Marketing at The Public Theater during an exciting time of Broadway-bound productions, including Hamilton and Fun Home. She also marketed the beloved, nearly 60-year NYC tradition, Free Shakespeare in the Park.

Before moving to New York in 2012, Shannon lived in Orlando, FL where she was promoted to Managing Director of the regionally acclaimed Orlando Shakespeare Theater in 2010, after serving as Director of Development for three years, spearheading and growing all fundraising programs. From 2001-2007, Shannon was Director of Marketing & Development for Enzian Theater and the Florida Film Festival.  She is a past president of Women in Film & Television Florida, was a graduate scholar adjunct in the Film Department at University of Central Florida (UCF), and for three years was a State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs grant panelist.

Shannon volunteered for Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, hosting selection and fundraising events, billeting artists, and serving on the selection committee to choose the current Festival Producer. Shannon has a B.A. in English Literature from UCF and completed the Crummer Management Program at Rollins College. She has moved to Dublin from Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
