Kris is Artistic Director and CEO of Dublin Fringe Festival. Before moving to Dublin in 2013, Kris was based in Montreal. In 2009 he founded Antonym, a producing and touring agency working with some of Canada’s most acclaimed experimental dance, theatre and interdisciplinary artists including Theatre Replacement, 605 Collective (Vancouver); Ame Henderson/Public Recordings and Evan Webber & Frank Cox-O’Connell (Toronto); and 2boys.tv, and Clea Minaker (Montreal). Together, they toured works to Australia, Brazil, England, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, USA, Wales and across Canada. From 2011-13, he initiated and curated three editions of PushOFF with Joyce Rosario in Vancouver. Involved in some of Canada’s flagship performing arts festivals, Kris was curatorial advisor to the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival (Vancouver) in 2012-13 and curator the Encounters Series at the Magnetic North Theatre Festival (Ottawa) from 2010-12. As a dramaturg, Kris has worked with Caravan Farm Theatre (Armstrong), Théâtre la Catapulte (Ottawa) and on several award-winning plays by emerging writers. He is a graduate of Langara College’s Studio 58 Conservatory (Vancouver).
